Yet another school. More loss. And I have been a teacher of children. I can tell you the nervous tremors that run through from head to toe when you hear "Shooter Alert." I can also say that I could cover the space from the front of the class to the doorway in split-seconds if I felt there was someone trying to harm any of my kids. And the aftermath would not have been one I might live to tell about, but the children would have been safe or else. NOTHING else mattered.
